Day 10 of 35! Ride for Reading, support literacy!

Drumroll please! It’s day number 10!! About 1/3 of the 35 Day Countdown!

Part of the holiday season is giving to the less fortunate and one perfect way to do that is with Ride for Reading.

This year at Interbike, the Super4 rode a mile and a half to deliver books to a local elementary school. The children there were part of very low-income family’s and lived in a low-income neighborhood. Many children didn’t even own a book. In fact,
only 1 out of 300 children in a low-income neighborhoods have an age-appropriate book.

This event really touched my heart, because I believe every child should have books to read before bed, school and anytime in between. Reading is a huge part of education and without a book to practice with at home it can be quite a challenge.

This is one group you need to help out. Whether you donate money or come and deliver books, you are helping a child.

So please, please, please go check out their website and find out something you can do to help.
